Some of your viewers live on Facebook, some on YouTube, a few on Instagram or TikTok. Choosing one platform means losing the others. Multistreaming sends the same broadcast to all of them.

Three ways to multistream

  • A restream service: you send one stream to their servers and they forward it. Easy, but usually a monthly subscription, and another account to manage.
  • Plugins for your existing software: free, but each destination is set up separately and reliability depends on the plugin.
  • Streaming software with multistreaming built in: each platform is just another destination in the app.

Upload speed: the real limit

When your computer sends to each platform directly, each destination uses its own upload. Two 4 Mbps streams need about 8 Mbps of upload plus headroom. If your upload is tight, a restream service (one upload) or a lower bit rate makes more sense.

The best option without a subscription

Skynat Live streams straight to YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitch, Kick, X, Rumble and any custom RTMP or SRT server from the app, and each destination reconnects on its own if it drops. No extra monthly service.

Skynat Live puts all of this in one application for Windows and Mac: $99 a year or $19 a month, everything included, nothing renews on its own. You can download it and try it before a real broadcast at skynat.live.

Questions people ask

Can I stream to YouTube and Facebook at the same time for free?

Yes, with software that has multistreaming built in and enough upload speed for two streams. Restream services are easier on upload but usually cost a monthly fee.

Does multistreaming lower quality?

Not if your upload can carry every stream. If it cannot, lower the bit rate or use a single upload to a restream service.
